Bosphorus Night

Does the Bosphorus dinner cruise run in winter?

Short answer

Yes. The cruise sails every evening all year round, winter included. Dinner and the live show take place in an enclosed, heated salon with large windows, so rain or cold does not spoil the evening — the open deck is there for photos and fresh air. In the rare event that the harbour authority closes the Bosphorus to boats, we let you know in advance and move your booking to another evening or cancel it free of charge.

Every evening, all year

Bosphorus Night sails every evening, summer and winter. The schedule stays the same in winter: boarding opens at 20:00 at Kabataş Pier, the boat departs at 21:00 and returns between 23:45 and 00:00. Hotel pickup runs as usual.

A heated salon, whatever the weather

Dinner is served and the show is performed inside, in an enclosed salon that is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. You sit at your table in the warmth and watch the illuminated palaces and bridges through the windows. When you want photos or some fresh air, step out onto the open deck, and come back in whenever you like.

What if it rains?

Rain does not stop the cruise. The evening takes place indoors, and the lit-up shores have their own charm on a wet night. Bring an umbrella for the walk to the pier, or book our hotel transfer: the driver picks you up at your hotel and brings you back after the cruise.

Storms and harbour closures

Very occasionally, in a strong storm, the harbour authority closes the Bosphorus to passenger boats. If that happens on your date, we tell you in advance on WhatsApp and either move your booking to another evening or cancel it free of charge. Because you pay on board, you never lose money.

What to wear in winter

There is no dress code, so wear whatever you are comfortable in. From October to March, bring a warm jacket or a thick scarf for the open deck, where the wind on the water feels colder than in the city. Flat shoes are easier on deck than high heels.
